Fresh strawberries dipped in dark chocolate and topped with a chocolate wafer cone hat — a two-ingredient Halloween treat that looks stunning and takes minutes.
This one earns a double take every time. From across the table they look like elaborate Halloween decorations, but they are just strawberries, dark chocolate, and a bit of sugar cone. The trick is working while the chocolate is still wet so the hat sticks cleanly. Set them on a dark plate and they look like something from a bakery — no one needs to know it took twenty minutes.

Recommended Tools
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Microwave-safe bowl
- Small scissors or knife
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the pointed tips from sugar cones, about 1.5 inches long, to make the witch hat cones.
- Melt the dark chocolate chips with coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each strawberry into the dark chocolate, letting the excess drip off, then place flat-side down on the parchment sheet.
- While the chocolate is still wet, press a sugar cone tip onto the pointed top of each strawberry so it stands as a witch hat.
- Add a small dot of chocolate around the base of each cone as the hat brim, and decorate with sprinkles if desired.
- Refrigerate for 20 minutes until set, then serve.
