The ultimate lazy-person dinner: sliced sausage, sweet potatoes, and broccoli on one sheet pan, tossed in garlic butter and roasted to perfection.
This is peak lazy cooking: one pan, one oven, five minutes of actual work. The high heat does all the heavy lifting, caramelizing the sweet potatoes, crisping the sausage edges, and giving the broccoli those irresistible charred tips. The garlic butter ties everything together while the parchment paper means cleanup is literally just crumpling up a piece of paper.
Ingredients
Recommended Tools
- Large rimmed baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Small bowl
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the sweet potato cubes on the baking sheet and toss with half of the garlic butter. Roast for 10 minutes.
- Remove the sheet from the oven, push the sweet potatoes to one side, and add the broccoli, bell pepper, and sliced sausage.
- Drizzle the remaining garlic butter over everything and toss gently to coat.
- Return to the oven and roast for another 10-12 minutes until the sweet potatoes are tender, the broccoli is slightly charred, and the sausage is sizzling.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve directly from the sheet pan — no plates necessary if you're feeling truly lazy.
